This course is delivered within our Vocational Education and Training (VET) delivered to secondary school program. The VETDSS is a unique way for students enrolled in VCE or VCEVM to gain a nationally recognised qualification with the opportunity to pathway into further studies


Course Overview

This is a preparatory qualification which provides a limited range of basic skills and knowledge used in hairdressing salons by individuals who provide assistance with client services. They follow known routines and procedures and work under direct supervision. The skills in this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice. No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requires apply to this qualification at the time of publication.


Pathways

This qualification provides a pathway to further education in the hair and beauty industries. Completion of this certificate may provide credit transfers into further studies

Employment / Career Opportunities

This qualification is intended to prepare individuals for further training in the hairdressing industry. The individual may perform a variety of tasks under supervision and with guidance from hairdressers who manage the client services


Entry Requirements / Prerequisites

This course can only be completed as part of a VCE or VCE VM program in Years 10, 11 or 12. Inspiring Training Academy requires all applicants to complete an application form and LLN test. The completion of the enrolment process is in conjunction with the students individual secondary school

Student Support

Students undertake a pre training review to determine their support needs. Students can also self-declare on their enrolment form any support requirements they may have. For general learning difficulties, the assessors can help students access a range of programs as outlined in the Student Handbook.
